The European Commission opened a call for ideas seeking feedback and suggestions from citizens on how to adapt to climate change, fight cancer, build climate-neutral and smart cities and ensure healthy oceans, soils, and food.
The collected ideas will feed into the design of the new Missions under Horizon Europe, a novelty in the next EU research and innovation framework program.
The Commission is designing and creating these missions together with input from Europeans to ensure that the missions meet their expectations and needs. As part of this process, an interactive pilot platform has been launched so that anyone can put forward his or her own ideas and vote for the ones he or she likes best. The opportunity to submit proposals will be open until 6 September, and voting will remain open until 14 September.
